BEATDiabetes

for Type 2 Diabetes

The real work of Type 2 diabetes happens not during the few hours a year that you are in the doctor's office, but during the other 5000 waking hours

when you are on our own, surrounded by temptation and distraction.

BEATDiabetes provides diabetes support and advice when you need it most,

in the course of your day-to-day life

when you are making the decisions that affect your health.

$1000 BEATDiabetes Drawing

Good health is the ultimate reward for taking care of your diabetes. However, we know that it can be hard to maintain focus on a goal that seems far off and abstract, especially if you are currently feeling well. In the moment, it can be hard to pass up a cookie or motivate yourself to get off the couch and exercise in exchange for a decreased risk of diabetic complications 10-20 years down the road.

That's why we give you financial incentives to reach short-term hemoglobin A1C goals. Research shows that by achieving these short-term A1C goals, you will be lowering your long-term risk of diabetes-related blindness, amputations, and kidney failure.

If you achieve an A1C that is less than 7 or has improved by at least 1 point compared to your previous best A1C while in the program, you will earn a chance to win the $1000 BEATDiabetes Drawing held 3 times a year. You can double or triple your chances to win by achieving larger decreases in your A1C (greater than 2 points or greater than 3 points) or by reaching your A1C target multiple times in a row.
