PILOT PROJECT RESULTS

44 people with uncontrolled Type 2 diabetes (hemoglobin A1C greater than 8) participated in a pilot project of the BEATDiabetes Program. 
The average improvement in A1C was between 0.8 and 1 points during the course of the 12 month program.
 
The improvement was sustained at 18 months in the participants for whom follow-up information was available. 
Over 40% of participants had A1C improvements > 1.
Over 25% of participants had A1C improvements > 2.
Participants rated the program 4.6 out of 5 stars.
100% of participants said that they would recommend the program to a friend or family member with Type 2 diabetes.
